Dermatology

Specialized care for various conditions that impact your pet's skin, nails, and fur.

Like us, the skin is the largest organ in the body for most of our pets. Aside from making them fluffy and cuddly, their fur (along with their skin and nails) serves essential functions, mainly protecting them from the elements and potential irritants. We can help ensure your pet’s skin looks and functions at its absolute best. Reach out to us today to learn more about our dermatology services.

How should my pet’s fur/skin look?

Although each pet is different, healthy skin has some general characteristics. Their fur or coat should be glossy. It should be free from any dandruff or signs of parasites. Their skin should be smooth to the touch, without any growths, scabs or rashes.

How often should I bathe my pet?

This will depend on your pet’s species, breed and lifestyle. Feline friends generally do a great job of grooming themselves. But, if you would like to get them washed, once every six weeks is more than enough. Dogs can be bathed (and groomed) once every 1 to 2 months. Depending on their fur type, they should also be brushed 1 to 3 times per week.
